RESCUE AND REHOMING COMITTEE
Please contact Paul Emerson if you are interested in volunteering or have a kooiker in need of rescue/rehoming.
Rescue and Rehoming Comittee Mission Statment
The NKCUSA Rescue and Rehome committee assists in finding safe, loving and forever homes for purebred Kooikers in need. We maintain a lifelong relationship with our adopters, providing support, information referrals, consultation, and other assistance. We educate the public, potential fosters and adopters on the availability and special needs of rescued Kooikers. We collaborate with other rescue groups and shelters as needed to pursue our mission. We are unable to accept mixed breed or dogs with a bite history. Rescued/rehomed dogs require basic vetting (sterilization, rabies and core vaccines, and parasite testing and treatment) before placement. Neglected or abused dogs often require more. We depend on the financial support of our members and Kooiker fanciers to fund this care, as we receive no federal or state support. Please donate to the NKCUSA-Rescue/Rehome Fund.
